Quality of Life
The decision to move can be a difficult one. Helping elders and disabled persons find a home that meets their needs and suits their lifestyle is the cornerstone of CIHA’s efforts.

Making Connections
CIHA provides high quality, well designed, beautiful homes anyone would be proud to live in; and we offer resources and activities to encourage our residents to stay active and maintain their independence.

CIHA’s elder properties are designed for independent living, and the majority of the facilities offer heated sidewalks, BBQ and picnic areas, raised planter beds for gardening, on-site libraries, craft rooms and a host of social activities designed to bring residents out of their apartments and into their community.

A Place for Everyone
Cook Inlet Housing Authority (CIHA) owns and operates affordable rental properties in Anchorage (308 units), Kenai (24 units), Ninilchik (10 units), and Seldovia (18 units) for occupancy by elderly and disabled persons and families. Rents for elder properties are typically equal to 30% of the household income. Maximum income for a two-person household is approximately $47,000 annually, however income and age restrictions vary by property.
