Brighton Park: Property Management Services

Property Management Services
Cook Inlet Housing Authority (CIHA) has assumed management responsibility for the 80-unit Brighton Park Apartments, building CIHA’s affordable housing management portfolio to 528 units. This is the first time CIHA has served as a contractor in this capacity, providing property management services for a facility that it does not own.
Brighton Park was built by a limited liability corporation whose partners include Mark Pfeffer and Jeff Koonce of local architecture firm Koonce Pfeffer Bettis and Jerry Neeser of Neeser Construction. Pfeffer and Neeser are also partners in Venture Development Group.
Construction of the property was funded by Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Alaska Housing Finance Corporation loans, and partner investment. The property was placed in service in 1997.
The facility consists of 10 eight-plex buildings. All of the units have three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and sixteen of the 80 units are fully equipped for persons with disabilities. The apartments offer many amenities including modern décor, built-in microwaves, laundry facilities in each building, a full basketball court and plenty of play areas for children.
The units are available to persons earning 60 percent or less of area median income adjusted for family size – for example, a maximum of $47,220 for a four person household. Units currently rent for $865/month, about $145 below the average three-bedroom apartment rent in Anchorage. For information regarding unit availability please call 277-2400.
