CIHA residents look forward to our annual events and traditions such as our Winterfest celebrations! These gatherings are a fun opportunity to get out of the house, slowdown from the day-to-day hustle, and get to know your neighbors. We receive positive feedback from the activities CIHA offers its residents, and we have even been told that they help overcome anxiety and depression.
We believe a healthy resident is a happy resident! That is why we empower our residents to connect with healthy outlets such as exercise classes and walking clubs, inexpensive sources for nutritional food, wellness workshops, and support groups. These offerings give residents an opportunity to set and achieve healthy goals, enjoy time with family and friends, and become more productive and independent. For our seniors, wellness initiatives have proven to improve balance and mobility while reducing the chance of falls and injury among many other benefits!
We want our residents to be safe and prepared. CIHA partners with various community organizations to provide residents with the information needed to make safe choices, put together emergency preparedness kits, and work with neighbors to keep an eye out for one another. Neighbors looking out for neighbors leads to a safer community.
Affordable housing is the foundation to build a better life. Now that you have a stable home, you can focus on your other financial goals. We’re lucky to have several partners who offer free classes on everything from avoiding fraud, writing a budget, improving credit, saving for the future, and buying a home! Connect with your resident engagement team for more information.
At CIHA we care about the success of our residents, young and old. Whether you’re an elementary school student exploring the mobile science lab, a high school student struggling with college applications, or someone later in life who is looking for tips on how to get your GED or even start a second career, we can help connect you to resources!
