We are looking for an organized team leader with experience in supporting, training, and mentoring staff. This position involves direct interaction with our diverse resident population, and our community partners, to achieve specific outcomes around self-sufficiency and household stability. The Resident Services Supervisor, in conjunction with the Resident Services Manager, will guide our Resident Services team and ensure residents across the CIHA portfolio have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.

Our Resident Services team works collaboratively to ensure residents can access the tools, opportunities, and support needed to achieve stability and self-sufficiency.
What You’ll Do
As the Resident Services Supervisor, you’ll support the Resident Services Manager, and you’ll provide day-to-day oversight, guidance, and support for Resident Services staff. You’ll drive program alignment with organizational goals, ensure high quality service delivery, strengthen community partnerships, and play a key role in defining the future of resident support at CIHA.
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Overseeing resident engagement and stability programs across multiple properties
- Supervising Resident Stability Coordinators, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance guidance
- Evaluating current initiatives and recommending new opportunities to improve resident outcomes
- Building and maintaining strong partnerships with community organizations and service providers
- Representing CIHA at meetings, coalitions, and community‑wide events
- Supporting grant funding efforts and ensuring compliance with requirements
- Training staff in case management practices and motivational interviewing
- Auditing program implementation and providing feedback to ensure consistency and quality
- Analyzing program data, tracking outcomes, and preparing reports for leadership and external partners
- Reviewing outreach requests, planning resources, and shaping long‑term program direction
- Supporting department‑wide planning, staffing, and performance goals
We’re seeking someone who:
- Has a proven ability to supervise and support staff effectively
- Communicates clearly and confidently with staff, residents, partners, and CIHA leadership
- Understands and can train others in case management and motivational interviewing
- Is highly organized, analytical, and skilled at managing multiple projects
- Can evaluate program performance and make data‑informed decisions
- Works respectfully and compassionately with individuals from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds
This position is a great fit for individuals with experience in:
- Supervising or leading social services, resident services, or community outreach teams
- Managing community‑based programs or partnerships
- Affordable housing environments
- Program evaluation, data tracking, and grant‑related reporting
- Working with Alaska Native/American Indian communities, families, seniors, or residents with diverse needs
The Basics
- Bachelor’s degree in social services or a related field (experience may substitute year‑for‑year)
- At least two years of supervisory experience preferred
- At least four years working with the public, ideally in housing or social services
- Knowledge of eligibility requirements, housing programs, and community resources
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with databases and reporting tools
- Valid Driver’s License
