EPA Brownfields
Cook Inlet Housing Authority (CIHA) received an EPA FY16 Brownfields Clean-up Grant from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to assist with the clean up contaminated property at 3607 & 3609 Spenard Road in Anchorage, Alaska.

Cleanup Performance: An Invitation to Bid was issued 9/16/16 and a Notice of Intent to Award the contact to Bethel Environmental Solutions went out 10/6/16.
A total of 1,829.1 tons of material were removed: 899.7 tons of soil were taken to Anchorage Land Fill and 929.4 tons were taken to Alaska Soil Recycling for thermal remediation.
